Oversized Framing Examples
Large scale framing projects designed and made in the Harten workshop.
Framing large artwork is a different discipline from standard work. Materials that behave at ordinary sizes start to bow and sag as dimensions grow, so oversized frames are built for their scale, with heavier mouldings, reinforced construction and glazing selected for weight and safety as much as clarity.
The examples below include large canvases, paintings and prints, multi metre pieces made for galleries and public spaces, and work we have collected, framed and delivered across the UK. Around the two metre mark the whole approach changes, from glazing choice through to handling and delivery, which is why the largest pieces are planned as carefully as they are built.
Bespoke oversized framing starts at around £500, with the largest and most complex pieces quoted individually. Our oversized framing service covers materials, sizes, delivery and installation in detail, or send us the dimensions and a photo of your piece for a quote.
